Eric Leach


Managing Partner

Eric is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of West-Atlantic Partners.  He is active in the day-to-day management of the firm and all investment decisions. He has significant experience advising both high-growth and established companies in his former role in the Mergers & Acquisitions division at J.P. Morgan. In this capacity, Eric has advised management and boards of directors on strategic and capital structure matters and executed on $20 billion of marquee M&A transactions in an effort to drive shareholder value.

Prior to J.P. Morgan, Eric spent five years at Goldman Sachs as an Operations Associate. In that role, Eric led a team responsible for managing the firm's books and records through the use of proprietary big-data tools.  He is an expert at identifying accounting abnormalities and further ensuring that the highest standards and best practices are maintained.

Eric holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, where he was elected to lead a number of student organizations, and a B.S. in Business Strategy from Brigham Young University, where he was on the Dean’s List.

Eric is originally from Southern California and is an Eagle Scout.  He has a passion for live music and is an accomplished guitarist.  Eric most values time with his family, where he and his wife, Katie, are the proud parents of three young and very spirited children.
